Our latest news:

Life at KNCC

Who we are

We’re a community of more than 800 people, based in Kelso and its surrounding countryside villages in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

We are led by Rev. Anna Rodwell with a friendly and welcoming team. You can find out more about our team by getting in touch or coming along to one of our Sunday services.

What we believe

Part of The Church of Scotland, we believe in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and proclaim Jesus Christ crucified, risen, and glorified.

Our standards of belief are found in the Old and New Testaments. Check out our Beliefs section to find out more about our faith at Kelso North & Country Churches.

Where we’re from

Our congregation is a unique combination of different strands of Scottish church tradition with origins that can be traced back for centuries.

But it was not until 1980, after a somewhat complex series of congregations uniting, that it took its present form. You can read more about our long and special history.

The Messenger

Read our latest version of The Messenger - the newsletter for our community at Kelso North & Country Churches. The Autumn 2024 edition is out now - download it below.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Psalm 46:1-3

Services at KNCC

Weddings

If you are considering getting married and would like the ceremony to be held in one of our beautiful churches, please call Rev. Anna Rodwell directly (on 07508 810 237) and she will be happy to discuss things with you.

Baptisms

Baptism is one of the two sacraments recognised by the Church of Scotland, the other being the Sacrament of Holy Communion (which we hold roughly four times a year), and can be for an adult or a child. There is no upper or lower age limit!

Baptism is normally administered at Sunday worship in front of the congregation. This emphasises the nature of the sacrament as incorporation into the body of Christ and the life of the Church.

Please call Rev. Anna Rodwell directly (on 07508 810 237) to talk about a baptism for yourself or your child.

Funerals

‘God is our refuge and our strength, always ready to help us in times of trouble.’ Ps 46:1

It is our aim, to be with you and help you navigate the journey through the grief and loss of death.

We will help you with the practical side of preparing a service for your loved one and, alongside the Undertaker or Funeral Director, we will do all that we can to help with the organisation of the burial or the cremation. Just call Rev. Anna Rodwell (on 07508 810 237) when you’re ready.
